At a time in my life i was looking for peace, like everyone is looking for happiness in their everyday lives whether it be via music, meditation, yoga, travelling, socializing, sports, families, communities working together, cultural activities and the list goes on, its kinda like "The Happiness Project" Check out Gretchen Rubin and create your own happiness project today.
I came across a writer/yoga teacher/peacekeeper Marianne (i start the wonderful yoga class this Friday), at the same time i met another fantastic soul Jonathon who runs yogafest Yogafest in Brissy, the only problem is i've never done physical yoga so i have 6 months to learn something new. They say if you have the chance, you should try something new at least once in your life, even if it's only a dream-sometimes dreams come true. My dream is not to become a yoga teacher, my dream is different-my dream is to see the happiness open up within the hearts of others.
So is anyone starting any new adventures or hobbies this year? Every one has a dream, I'd love to hear what others have in mind for 2010, i find everyone has something interesting i can learn from, please feel free to open up your hearts. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you have a crazy idea in discovering your dream, if you have a dream keep the people close to you who support your dreams, it's the good energy that will help get you started!

I have started to medidate at the back end of last year and I intend to start yoga (re-start rather) once my little girl is properly settled at nursery.
Enjoy the journey!

Hi Anton,
Thanks for adding me as a friend on Mondo Beyondo. It's a pretty spectacular course so far, don't you think?
I was also really touched that you're enjoying my blog. It's all a bit new for me, so I appreciate your support and encouragement. Your new blog is beautifully set out, I wish I had your design talents!
You have chosen some very powerful words to guide you through 2010. I hope they bring you great courage and wonder.
Warmly,
Kat
PS I was very interested to read that your blog has been inspired by "The Happiness Project". My copy of the book arrived from Amazon earlier in the week, and I am so looking forward to diving in!

This is such a good topic. Reading intentions and dreams is very inspiring. Last November, at the end of a year of big change, I started teaching bookbinding. I wasn't surprised to find that I loved teaching, but I was thrilled to find lessons from yoga and Buddhism bubbling up in my instruction. It turns out that people learning a craft are ripe for reminders to open to beginner's mind, relax into the moment, and remember to breathe. (Students will actually giggle a bit when I remind them to breathe, but then I see shoulders relax all around the room.) So this has become one of my dreams for 2010: to have opportunities to teach about acceptance and openness in the work that I already do. To bring yoga to people who may never step on a mat and Buddhist philosophy to people who may never sit on a meditation cushion.
I look forward to reading more about your peace safari!
